SHORT ANSWER
1. How does resolution affect images displayed on a monitor? Resolution is the number of horizontal and vertical pixel in a display. Example: monitor has 1440 x 900, that’s mean resolution up to 1440 pixel per horizontal row and 900 pixel per vertical row. Pixel is a single point in an electronic image. so, a higher resolution uses a greater number of pixels and thus provides a smoother, sharper, and clearer image on your monitor.

How does resolution relate to the size of an LCD monitor or screen? Because in your monitor, there is native resolution which is use to setting optimal resolution and to gear LCD in specific resolution.

2. Describe some of the features of HDTV. A digital TV , working with digital broadcast signal, transmitting digital sound, supporting wide screen, and providing resolutions up to 1920 x 1080 pixels.
How do game console users set up the output for the consoles? Users plug one end of cable in the game console and the other end in the video port on the television.

3. What are two types of wireless printing technology? Bluetooth printing and infrared printing.

How do they differ in how they communicate with a computer or other device? The differ is based on their waves. Bluetooth printing use radio waves, devices don’t have to be aligned with each other, rather, they need to be within approximate 30-foot range. Infrared printing use infra red light waves.devices have to lines up the IrDA port on devices with IrDA port on the printer.

4.How does an ink-jet printer work?
– a small resistor heats the link, causing the ink to boil and form a vapor bubble
– the vapor bubble forces the ink through the nozzle
– ink drops onto the paper
– as the vapor bubble collapses, fresh ink is drawn into the firing chamber.

What are the differences between dye-sublimation printers used by professionals as compared to home or small business users? The differences are the contrast and for home or small business users are much slower than professional.

5. What might be included with a surround sound system for a computer? One or two center speakers and two or more satellite speakers that are positioned so that sound emits from all directions.
What is audio resolution, and what are three examples of audio resolutions? The number of bytes that represent sound in a given time, is stated as a bit rate such as 8-bit, 16-bit, or 24-bit.
examples: 8-bit = AM radio, 16-bit = optical disc-quality sound, 24-bit = high quality digital audio editing
